Ingredients:

For the Pizza Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded (grilled or roasted)

1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup bell peppers, sliced

½ cup red onion, thinly sliced

½ cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)

½ teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough begins to form.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

 

2. Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.

In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, salt, pepper, dried oregano, and dried basil. Mix well and set aside.

 

4. Roll Out the Dough:

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into your desired pizza shape (round or rectangular) and thickness.

If using a pizza stone, transfer the rolled dough to a pizza peel or a floured surface.

 

5. Assemble the Pizza:

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the base of the dough.

Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Add the seasoned chicken, bell peppers, red onion, and mushrooms evenly on top.

Finish by sprinkling the remaining mozzarella cheese over the toppings.

 

6. Bake the Pizza:

Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or place it on a baking sheet.

Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.

 

7. Serve:

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and red chili flakes if desired.
